Bryan Proteau

Bryan Proteau was born and raised in Napa, California, and has been tattooing for over 11 years. His career has taken him through San Francisco, Oakland, and Albuquerque, New Mexico — and as of 2025, he’s returned to his hometown to continue his craft.

Bryan specializes in illustrative black & grey and fine line tattooing, drawing inspiration from Medieval and Neoclassical art, mythology, Catholic mysticism, occult practices, Jungian archetypes, and psychedelia. His work often explores themes of the natural and supernatural, with a particular love for tattooing plants, animals, and symbolic imagery.
